The Friends hold three weekend-long book sales each year with thousands of books, CDs and DVDs in all categories priced to sell quickly.
The Friday of each sale is members only. Non-members can join at the door. Saturday and Sunday are open to the public, including Sunday's $5 bag sale.

The Library is open after-hours from 7:00 to9:00 p.m. on the members-only Fridays of the April and December book sales. Friends members and guests (one guest per member) enjoy free wine, light food and dessert while browsing book bargains.

During August, the Friends display a variety of themed raffle baskets - including books and other fantastic items - in the Library's "Bookie Monster" window. Raffle tickets are sold in the Book Store and during the September book sale, with winners drawn on the last day of the sale.
Free Summer Raffle for Children
The Friends offer free raffle tickets for a children's summer fun basket at the June Summer Reading Kick-off for the Friends-sponsored Summer Blast. This event launches the Library's fantastic season of story times, book clubs, special performances and summer reading programs for families and children.
Books Sandwiched In
When: First Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Where: Library Meeting Room C
The Friends sponsor a facilitated book discussion on the first Wednesday of each month, except January and July, at 11:30 a.m.Everyone is welcome to bring a lunch and join the discussion.
Multiple copies of each month's book selection are available on a first-come first-served basis at the Library's circulation desk.
